Extra work postal workers are happy to perform

Columbia City Carrier Joey Topping unloaded a truck load of canned goods donated to the USPS annual Stamp Out Hunger! drive last year. The extra work the Postal workers do collecting the food is gladly welcomed. Columbia, KY 42728 Postmaster Randal Murrell is asking postal patrons throughout the Adair County service area to remember that the need is great this year. Carriers will be picking up food again this year, on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Anyone who will not be in town on Saturday, and wishes to donate food, can do so now, the Postmaster said. "Just bring it to the post office anytime today, Friday, or Saturday," he said.
