South Central Kentucky writer and author Geniece Marcum was on hand at the groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Goodwill Industries store in Columbia, KY. Mrs. Marcum is the editor of the Senior Quest and author of "The Best of Senior Quest," a collection of favorite columns from the series. She's the matriarch of the family, and is currently living in Columbia, KY, doing research for articles for Senior Quest and researching the genealogy of her old Turner family relatives from the Inroad area of Adair County. One famous writer in her family was Joseph Turner, who wrote in Adair County and Metcalfe Co. newspapers under the pen name Paul Revere. In the background of this photo is the Grider Hill Pass on KY 61 South.
