County will furnish pickup for Adair Co. Dog Warden

Adair County Dog Warden Jimmy Harmon was happy after the Adair County Fiscal Court commended him and granted a request to furnish him with a pickup truck to be used to do his work. It's not a new one; in fact it is a 1986 1/2 ton Chevy Pickup with 123,000 miles on it. The action was taken at the regular April 13, 2010 meeting. But it will hold his dog box, and County Judge Executive Ann Melton said that the seller knew the history on the vehicle and that it is in good shape. The vote to buy the truck, which cost $1,800, was on a motion by Billy Dean Coffey (5), seconded by Perry Reeder (4) with a 7-0 vote.
