Scenic Russell Co., KY: Old log corncrib

2010-04-11 - Photo by Judy Corbin. Jamestown, Russell Co., KY
Family Memories and History Preserved: "The old corn crib is located on Lester and Alberta Acree farm in Jamestown, " writes Judy Corbin. "I loved seeing this - still standing - logs and all! Not that I would like to live in that era, but it sure makes one think about all the memories that are in a family history to see these buildings that have survived down through the years. The Acree Farm is Acree DR, off South Highway 92, maybe 2 miles or a little less south of Monument Square in Jamestown, KY. South Highway 92 is the road out to Jamestown boat dock. Lester and Alberta live out that way - just past the old Anchor Inn Restaurant. They live on Acree Dr. and their land goes all the way back to the lake. It is Lester's family farm and holds lots of family memories."
