Massive Fatality Crash on I-65 at Mile Marker 66.6



2009-12-08 - 66.6 MM, I-65 near Munfordville, KY - Photo by Charles Sparks. Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green are currently handling a massive crash which occurred this morning at 4:17amCT. State Police expect the northbound lanes to be closed for several hours. The accident involves multiple commercial vehicles. The KSP reports, "All northbound lanes on I-65 are blocked and remain closed for several hours. All northbound traffice will be required to exit off at Exit 58 (Horse Cave) onto KY 218, then onto US31W North to KY 28 in Bonnieville. Traffic will re-enter I-65 northbound in Bonnieville at Exit 71," and added, "No further details about this accident are being released at this time. Long traffic delays should be expected on both routes." State Fire Marshal Charles Sparks, is on the scene. Other agencies involved are the Hart Co. EMS, Hart Co. Coroners Office, Bonnieville Fire Department, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Munfordville Police Department. and D.E.S.
