Proof of where Mr. Fudge saw 35 lb Bobcat

2009-11-27 - Fairplay Road, Earl's Ridge, District 3, Adair County, KY . This bonus photo, as windshield photographed by Linda Waggener, is indisputable proof of where Billy Joe Fudge saw the 35-lb. very black bobcat. Sceptics like Joe Moore don't accept eyewitness reports without documentation such as this. The narrative of the sighting is in a more inclusive entry in the proceedings of the Blue Ribbon Bear Board, BRBB: Four bears spotted this past week in Adair Co., KY. It is a sober reminder to folks walking this way, and to skinny bicyclists who might otherwise, off guard, get et by the bob cat, to give it ground. Otherwise, don't blame the bobcat if it devours you. As Alan Reed says, "It's just making a living." This is not pandering to the taunts of Dave Rosenbaum, who, after ODing on Joe Lynn's barbecue, criticized us for not "making more out of the 35-lb bobcat," as though anyone in the BRBB would exagerate. That kind of varmintology enhancement, though entertaining, went out with Pete Walker and Dr. Billy Neat. Besides, there will never be anybody who could do it the way they did. Varmintology does have a colorful past, but now, as an established, recognized discipline, we stick to science. Lastly, it is not meant to make people fearful; although there was a question of whether to post this alert what with that chicken hawk threatening 8 lb. puppies up on 206. -EW
