ACHS Band welcome: Practicing his flag waving

2009-11-09 - Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. One of the most excited kids in Adair County Sunday was Charlie Barnes, who was in town on the Square practicing waving his ACHS Marching band flag nearly one-half hour before the mighty Adair County Marching Band caravan rolled around the Square at 12:20pm, Sunday, November 8, 2009. He was accompanied to the event by his wife, Barbara, and her brother Bob Waggener, supporters of the band and their favorite band members, Logan and Payton Barnes, whom they share precious grandparenting time with George and Bobbie Keltner. By the time the band arrived, the flag waving was precise, ready to be on Tv, when the Adair County Marching Band is seen around the world on Tv, marching through New York City. Charles and Barbara Barnes will be there. At left in the background are band parents Steve Coomer and John Tupman.
