Epicurean Kentuckian: Miguels Pizza and Rock Climbing

Located a few miles off the Mountain Parkway in Eastern Kentucky, Miguels is a popular spot with rock climbers and hikers headed into Red River Gorge, and not just because they sell climbing gear. They also serve some of the tastiest pizzas in Kentucky. Pictured at right is a pie with tomatoes, roasted garlic, and feta. They also serve Eastern Kentucky's native beverage, Ale-8-one, in recyclable bottles, as evidenced by the stacked cases of empties on the front porch. If you go for a slice, Miguel's is 152 miles northeast of the Adair County Courthouse, Columbia, KY.
