2009-09-06 - 6048 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY, - Photo by George Kolbenschlag.
Newly cut tobacco waits to be hung in one of the tobacco barns at Home Place on Green River. Home Place on Green River, on highway 55 just 4 miles north of the Adair/Taylor county line and first farmed in 1804, is a working farm being developed as a tourist attraction by a foundation established by Adair, Green and Taylor counties. Next Saturday, September 12, 2009 the farm will be celebrating its 2nd Annual Fall Heritage Festival with all sorts of events and entertainment including arts and crafts, a corn maze, food, music, hay rides and many other family fun activities. Entrance to the farm is free as are many of the activities.
