Scenic Adair Co., KY: Back up and read again signs

2009-08-31 - 1200 section of Charlie Morrison RD, near Chance, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Charlie Morrison Road is a short strech of Adair County maintained roadway so scenic they could charge admission. The 35 mph county maintained (CR 1182) runs 2.317 miles from Chance, KY, to a T with Greenbriar Ridge RD, ending in sight of the old Deering Fletcher RD. Along the way, there is this sign which begs one to back up and read again, requesting the traveller to drive slowly because of the horse crossing and the dogs, including "several stupid dogs," and just over the hill, as a most homes along the way, there is a neat Address Marker at the Cameron Hill Farm mailbox. Gorgeous territory all year, spectacular, seasonally changing sights are worth frequent drives through the fall, if one remembers to drive slowly to stay out of the way of the dogs.
