Epicurean Kentuckian: 2009 Adair Co. Fair Food. The Grill

2009-07-09 - Adair Co. Fairgrounds, 413 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY - Photo by Doyle Lloyd.
FAIR FOOD IS BETTER THIS YEAR than ever. Adair County Band Boosters Master Pit Chefs are grilling fat juicy hamburgers, plump hotdogs, and country ham for some of the same great taste they provide on road trips when the "Gods of Bands" rolls out of Columbia for out of town competitions. Money raised from Fair Food sales should make a dramatic dent in the $27,815 still needed for the band's 2009 appearance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. All American Grillmasters alternating in starring roles are Chris Knifley, Randy Huckaby, Clifford Jasper, Wallace Richards, Gary Maupin, Chris Coffey, George Payne, Bob Barnes, Rick Wilson, Justin Burris, Barry Corbin, and Doyle Lloyd. Friday night, July 10, 2009, in a guest cameo appearance will be Adair County High School's fantastic football Coach, Eric Graves.
