Three from ACMS attend 2009 Teacher Academy Network

Three social studies teachers at Adair County Middle School attended the 2009 Teacher Academy Network, a four-day professional development training session, hosted by Forward in the Fifth at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset. Participants in the program are, from left, Jim Tackett, executive director of Forward in the Fifth; William Matthews, Cynthia Wells, and Donna Shirley, social studies teachers at Adair County Middle School; and Dr. Natalie Bolton, director of the University of Louisville's Office of Civic Education and Engagement and facilitator of the training session. Forward in the Fifth, an affiliate organization of The Center, is a non-profit educational organization that helps the educational community meet standards set by state and national reforms.
