"THIS SWALLOW'S NEST is in the very top rafters of our pole barn," writes Betsy Fausnaugh. "The lower section of the nest was built last year, I thought that it must get pretty warm in there, being so close to the tin roof. But the engineering swallows solved the problem this year with an igloo type addition to the top! It really is quite amazing! As you can see, Mama is quite happy with the new digs. My husband is not so happy though, as the nest is right over where he parks his truck. Taken by me, Betsy Fausnaugh on Monday night, June.15, 2009." The two white spots in the middle of the black hole are the reflection of the eyes of the swallow.
