Address Marker at Hadley's Community Church

2009-06-07 - 8269 Fairplay RD, Columbia, KY - Photo by Patty Bunch. PASTOR ELBERT HADLEY is shown above with the new address marker at 8269 Fairplay Road, Columbia, KY. The sign can be seen by travellers and emergency vehicles going south to Burkesville or North to Fairplay and Columbia, KY, and will be an added benefit to travellers with smart phones and computers who now have no trouble entering KY 704 from Highway 55 knowing that the church is exactly 8.269 miles from the intersection. Patty Bunch writes, "Our church is really behind the move to get Address Markers on all public places and residences in Adair County. We'll be doing our part right here at home. The community of Fairplay and surrounding areas shouldn't be surprised if some of the members of the church come knocking on doors volunteering to help others get their Address Markers posted." The church is planning to use the safety and tourism initiative as a community outreach program.
