Walter Rondyl Leftwich, Glasgow, KY, left photo, shown in his early days as a soldier during WWII. He was later sent to German Occupied France where he was wounded. Rondyl has been awarded the French Legion of Honor, "the highest honor that France can bestow upon those who have achieved remarkable deeds for France."Right photo Rondyl Leftwich and wife Ann shown enjoying a night out at Barren River Lodge a few years ago.
