Gradyville Flood of 2009

2009-05-08 - Old Gradyville Road, Gradyville, District 4, Adair Co., KY - Photo by Betsy Fausnaugh.
"This was the bridge on Old Gradyville Road at Big Creek, this a.m., after the heavy rains. Most people were turning around and avoiding it but a few were attempting to go across it," writes Betsy Fausnaugh. "Good thing my husband is in the Coast Guard and knows how to do flood water rescue. Paul Coomer Road is to the right in the picture and the house ahead is the Todd and Cozetta Legg residence. My house is behind where I was standing to take the picture. That's my hay field where the flood waters are flowing across. The photo was taken at 6:15amCT, Friday, May 8, 2009, standing in the middle of Old Gradyville RD."
