The Pines at LW: Taking public safety seriously

2009-05-06 - The Pines at Lindsey Wilson, 275 Country Club RD, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
The New Sign for The Pines at Lindsey Wilson got an important addition yesterday with a spiffy new Address Marker. Mike Newton, Director of Maintenance at Lindsey Wilson College and the man who is overseeing the $27.5 million building expansion now underway at the school, personally installed the sign Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at one of the most prestigious addresses in the county. Not only are the Address Markers important for Emergency Response, but they are also a huge aid to tourism. Using Street Numbers and Streets in postings and print enables potential customers to find a locality much easier. If your church, school, playfield, cemetery, business or home does not have an address marker, they may be obtained at the Adair County Sheriff's Office in the Old Courthouse, 500 Public Square, Columbia, KY. For numbers for any venue in Adair County, call Mary Allender at (270) 384-4760.
