Scenic Adair Co., KY: Clocktower from Lindsey Hill

2009-04-29 - Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY - Photo by Susan Minton.
LWC PROF. SUSAN MINTON captured this most delightful photo for the season, captioning her work, "A spring view from the hill...Lindsey Wilson College," which captures a cherished concept of drawing the community and the college closer together. County, City, and College officials are working on a plan to make the old Adair County Courthouse with one of the most recognized clocktowers in America, a part of the Lindsey Wilson Campus. The transition, if it happens, would come after the new Adair Justice Center, and the upstairs of the Adair Annex at 424 Public Square, is renovated, at which time the historic courthouse would be vacant. Another concept being studied is a pedestrian bridge across the chasm directly connecting town and college, symbolically and physically.
