PRIDE Spring Clean-up 2009: Army of over 600 out!

THE BIGGEST SPRING PRIDE CLEANUP EVER is underway in Adair County this morning, Saturday, April 18, 2009. Top Just part of the over 500 volunteers registering at the Adair Annex parking lot. Lower left Adair CJE Ann Melton looks over the crowd as Lisa Lee registers another group. Center Columbia Mayor Pat Bell tells crowd at City Hall that he's hearing from everyone that Columbia is getting cleaner every day. Right A.L. Sinclair, Adair County Solid Waste Coordinator, the icon of the 20 year clean up effort which has made Adair County the pride of Kentucky for it's cleanliness. Lower strip Some of the volunteers and groups who are making the City of Columbia Clean-up, directed by Rhonda Loy, an outstanding success this year.
