Adair County Alternative School Principal Carl Shirley, left, and Adair County Band Director Tim Allen shared a moment after the brief but eventful Adair County School Board Meeting, at which the band received $5,000 from this year's budget toward the trip to New York City for the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and a promise for more. In addition, Superintendent Darrell Treece announced a very popular, Tim Allen-approved selection for his successor, Tom Case, who is presently band director at John Hardin High School, Elizabethtown, KY.
