Floyd Claywell receives Veteran High School Diploma

2009-04-16 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
A PROUD MOMENT FOR A TREASURED ADAIR COUNTY VETERAN. The Korean War military buildup interrupted Floyd Claywell's high school education, but tonight, over 55 years since he went into the service, Mr. Claywell received his high school diploma, presented by Superintendent Darrell Treece, as Board Members Marsha Walker and Chris Watts, partially hidden; Board Attorney Jeff Hoover, and Board Member Flloyd Burton look on in the photo above. Member Mike Harris was out of frame, left, and Member Greg Willis out of frame right. Mr. Claywell served all his overseas military time in Germany. He now resides on Summer Hill Drive in Columbia, KY.
