Price Grocery, Saloma, KY, celebrates 50th anniversary

Lavoy Price, owner of Price Grocery & General Store, 6996 Saloma Road, Campbellsville, KY (the Saloma Community) in Taylor County, KY, celebrated 50 years in business today. She and her late husband started restaurant on April 1, 1959, in a smaller building, which still stands, next door to the place. Mrs. Price serves all you can eat meals with a twist; if you don't eat enough, she checks plates and discounts the food. She tries to quit, but no one else seems able to run the place, she said, and the community needs a general store and restaurant.
