Scenic Adair Co., KY: The view from Cane Valley Cemetery

2009-03-20 - Cane Valley Cemetery Road, Cane Valley, District 6, Adair Co, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
So peaceful, with beautiful scenery all seasons Cane Valley Cemetery is especially beautiful in spring time. Ornamental trees are in bloom now. Looking north, the view includes some of Adair County's most beautiful churches. To the left of the large tree is the steeple of the Cane Valley Christian Church, and beyond, that may be a glimpse of the valley's Baptist Church, on a hill. In the center, between the two flowering trees, can be seen, in the distance, the Cane Valley Elementary School, the focus of a reunion being organized, and now the home of Trilby and Sonny Vance. In the middle of the photo, by the green roofed house and the red roofed one, is scenic Beech Top Road, which offers, along its trail, great expanses of purple henbit carpeting in the spring--almost as spectacular as the field of henbit on nearby Vanhoy Lane--and another awesome Adair County view of the knob on the Casey Pulaski County line. The cemetery is newly expanded with a new parking lot with concrete ramps to the old cemetery.
