David McLean honored at retirement dinner

2009-02-10 - City Hall, Columbia - Photo by Linda Waggener.
DAVID McLEAN WAS HONORED with a retirement dinner Tuesday evening by the City of Columbia where he has worked for the past 24 years. He received a watch and a plaque and his boss, Kenneth Dulin, along with Columbia Mayor Pat Bell, both said he had done a fine job. Dulin told him that he would certainly be missed. Co-worker O.D. Frasier got big laughs when he told McLean that he was sure glad to see him retire because it would allow him to drive the truck all the time now. In the photo above McLean and his family started the buffet line. From left are son, Adam, 16; daughter Brianna Elizabeth who will be 8 in two days; his wife Georgia and McLean. In back are Police Chief Mark Harris, Frasier and Dulin. Remembering when he started, he as worked under six different mayors, Murphy, Flowers, Marshall, Hoots, Hardwick and now Bell.
