District 3 Magistrate, CJE make plea for KY 55 S bridge

2009-02-10 - KY 61 south of LBN Pkwy, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
THIRD DISTRICT MAGISTRATE SAMMY BAKER, center, used the groundbreaking ceremony to ask Secretary Joe Prather to fund the replacement of the KY 55 S bridge over Glens Fork Creek. "One woman who crosses over it daily has nightmares about the bridge," he told Secretary Prather. Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton, left, and a good turnout of Glens Fork, Montpelier, and Zion area families were on hand to support Magistrate Baker. Secretary Prather said that he'd look into the funding situation when he returned to Frankfort. Adair County Beshear Administration Contact Richard Walker said that the bridge is his top roads priority for Adair County at this time.
