Shamarie Claiborne interpreted the birds gesture as mooning the world--they were really just waiting to be counted in the Great Backyard Bird Count. She wrote, "These birdswere sitting on a wire in front of the Old Hutchison House on the Square. . . they thought their backsides were the best views! LOL"
