Birds of Kentucky: Heron in ascension

2009-01-04 - Shelby Co., KY - Photo by Pen.
A HERON in takeoff pattern. This great blue heron was in Shelby County, KY, but is fairly common in Adair. All Adair Countians are urged to take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count which takes place Friday, February 13; Saturday, February 14; Monday, February 15, and Tuesday, February 16, 2009. Many Adair County school and civic organizations are planning to take part in the event this year in addition to hundreds of other individuals. The editors of ColumbiaMagazine.com would like to receive news of plans of organizations who will take part in the count. Use any Contact/Submit button to submit your GBBC stories or photos.
