Quilt Pattern on Camp Billy Williams house

BETTY SUE JASPER spotted the qulit pattern on this house on Dunnville Road and took this beautiful picture. The house itself is quite significant. It was once used as a Union Army hospital, according to Ryan Beard, whose family has lived on land near by for many generations. A wayside marker in front of the house relates Camp Billy Williams' importance to the Union in its fight with General John Hunt Morgan. The house and the marker are located approximately 15 miles NE of Columbia, KY. The residence is now the home of Denise Stewart. "One of Adair County's most talented quilters," writes Rebecca Grant.
