Electric ZAP pickup has a dump bed

ZAP ELECTRIC VEHICLE DEALER RON BLACK of Franklin, KY, demonstrated the diminutive electric pickup's manual dump bed. The three wheel vehicle also has drop down side panels, allowing conversion to a flat bed truck. Pickups have room for two passengers. A companion four door sedan carries four passengers. The three wheelers, licensed as motorcycles, are each priced at $13,600, but incentive rebates can lower the price to $11,600. Later inventory will be manufactured in Franklin, where local officials are hoping for employment of 1,000 in a factory north of town.
