RON BLACK, Black's Auto Sales, North Main Street in Franklin, KY, with one his three wheel, four door, electric ZAP car. The dealership is stocking electric vehicles in sedan, as above, and pickup with dump bed trucks. Transportation Cabinet Secretary Joe Prather approved licensing the vehicles for travel on streets with speed limits of 45 MPH and less. The little cars have a range of 40 miles, run on 6 batteries, and just have to be plugged in for 1-4 hours to get a complete recharge. With three wheels, it's technically a motorcycle, and is licensed as such. In a few weeks, Integra Motors plans to begin manufacturing the cards in Franklin.
