2008 PRIDE Fall Cleanup: Thanks to Pinewood and ACRD

2008-10-20 - Pinewood Country Club - Photo By Lisa Lee.
EDGAR HANCOCK and JOBE DARNELL came in for special thanks for making the the 2008 PRIDE Fall Cleanup in Adair County such a success. "We appreciate the wonderful hospitality Mr. Hancock and Pinewood Country Club President Ron Rogers displayed in hosting the PRIDE picnic," Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton said. "Not only did they let us use their beautiful grounds, they went out of their way to see that everyone, especially kids, had a great day in the outdoors. We want to publicly thank Dr. Rogers, Mr. Hancock, and the board of Pinewood and its members for this wonderful display of community involvement." Pinewood also provided free golf cart rides for picnic goers. Judge Melton said that the work of Mr. Darnell and the Adair County Road Department was invaluable. "I thought their work was outstanding last year. This year," they went beyond the call of duty. We're so fortunate to have the skilled, dedicated, and yes, community minded personnel in the Department," she said. "They make us proud to be Adair Countians."
