Mr. Edgar Holmes Weekend in Adair County, KY

EDGAR HOLMES WEEKEND OCTOBER 18-19, 2008
Declaring that World War II veteran Edgar Holmes has touched and blessed so many lives her in Adair County, Kentucky, Adair CJE Ann Melton has proclaimed October 18-19 as "Mr. Edgar Holmes Weekend." Above, Mr. Holmes is presented a framed certificate of the honor at his high school graduation on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at the Adair County School board regular meeting. At right, background, is Adair County First School District Board Member Greg Willis, standing along with entire, packed and overflowing school board conference room, in tribute to a treasured Adair County World War II and Korean War veteran.
