Downtown Days 2008: DWC raises scholarship money

VICKY PIKE was minding the store for the hardworking Democratic Women's Club, who held a yard sale in front of Democratic Headquarters on Burkesville ST, during Downtown Days 2008. The DWC was raising funds for it Berniece Flowers Scholarship Fund, which honors the late history teacher at Adair County High School, who was one of the most respected Adair Countians of the 20th century. In the background are Margie Collns, Frances Glasgow, Vickie Miller, Louise Brock, Marsha Walker, and Cynthia Rowe. Not seen in the photo, but prominent in the effort was Pam Shearer.
