2008 Giles House Arts, Crafts Festival: The Mike Watsons

2008-10-04 - Giles House, Spouts Springs, Knifley, KY .
AMONG THE EARLIEST VENDORS on the groups for the 10th Annual Giles House Arts & Crafts Festival were historian Mike Watson and his wife, Renee Watson. Watson will be offering his history books at the festival. His next work, "An Adair County History, Vol. II: Pioneers," will be presented at a book signing at the Adair County Public Library on November 3, 2008. He'll be back in Columbia on October 27, 2008, to appear in the 2nd Annual Silent City program at the Columbia City Cemetery, when he will be an enactor. "This is our favorite time to be at the Giles House," Mrs. Watson said. "We like the first light and the shadows before the sun comes over the hill," Mr. Watson added. The festival continues until 4:00pmCT today.
