Circle R Putt Putt Golf Course nearing completion

2008-09-28 - 712 Russell Road, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
RALPH FOLEY was putting finishing touches on Hole #2 at the new Miniature Golf Course being installed at the new Circle R BBQ Plus Catfish, as Charles Kerr, Flooring Specialist and Home Improvements contractor, looks on. Kerr, who has worked with CR owner Michael Lee Stephens for almost 10 years, says that he'll have the 18-hole miniature golf course complete within one-two weeks. No firm date has been set for the restaurant, but Spring 2009, in time for the warm weather tourist season, is often cited as a time when the unique restaurant concept will be added to the Columbia food scene. Latest additional prospects for the evolving project: An enclosed, climate controlled dining room, breakfasts featuring country ham biscuits, smoked fish, and a $1 menu to compete with fast food places. In the background, above, is the building which once housed Hill Oil Co.
