Joe L. Barbee gets official trademark for KY Wings

2008-08-29 - B&B Barbecue, Campbellsville Road, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
IT'S OFFICIAL "Ol' Joe's Original KY Wings"is an official U.S. Trademark. Joe L. Barbee, founder and owner of Ol' Joe's B&B QUE, holds U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Reg. No. 3,425,217 for the trademark for the famed Columbia barbecue restaurant's "Pork, Bone-in Pork Shanks." KY Wings are as convenient to eat as chicken wing drummettes, but are meatier. The specialty barbecue item, created by Ol' Joe, is a favorite of the popular restaurant, which is open on the First and Third Fridays and Saturdays only of each month . Though this weekend, August 29 & 30, 2008, is Labor Day, the restaurant stands by its orthodoxy, and will not be open this weekend. It will be open on September 5 & 6, 2008. And, a large number of people have contracted for catering services this weekend. A Today's Picture Album photo
