Copperhead Snake

KAY HAUPT sends this photo, and writes, "Copperhead Snake. Found this snake in our yard yesterday evening. It had been hit by a car or one of the horse stepped on it. It did not have the marks that it was run over. however." The snake appears to be over 2 feet in length. Reader comment on copperheads in Adair County, including areas where they are prevalent, safety measures to take around them, stores, anecdoes, and photos welcome. -CM
