Innovative Bike Rental program at Somerset Community College

Somerset Community College Registrar Paula Guffey, left, and SCC Recruiter Melissa Morrison got ready to use the new SCC bicycles to get some exercise after work on Thursday, August 21, 2008. The new Bike Rental Program gives students and employees access to 20 bicycles scattered around the SCC campus. Users can use the bicycles to travel between the SCC Campus north and south locations without taking their automobiles. The rental fee is $10 per year. According to SCC Chief of Maintenance and Operations Larry Abbott, the bike rental program will save gas and improve fitness.
