Creating more undergraduate research opportunities at LWC

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH FOCUS AT LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE: Undergraduate research was a hot topic last week at Lindsey Wilson College. In recent years, the college has broadened research opportunities for undergraduates, which has resulted in more Lindsey Wilson students being accepted into graduate and professional schools. On Friday morning in Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center, Lindsey Wilson Vice President of Academic Affairs Bettie Starr, right, and Cheryl Karnes of the Admissions Office, center, met with Kelly McConnaughay, a professor of biology at Bradley (IL) University. McConnaughay, who is one of the leaders on undergraduate research, is secretary of the Council on Undergraduate Research and issue editor for the Council on Undergraduate Research Quarterly. McConnaughay also met with several Lindsey Wilson faculty to discuss expanded undergraduate-research opportunities at Lindsey Wilson. A Today, Monday, August 18, 2008 Today's Picture Album photo
