Road Eighty opening expected between 9:50-11:00am TODAY!

An inspector for Vaughn-Melton Engineers, Jody Richey, Russell Springs, KY, who is assigned to the Kentucky Department of Highways and is overseeing the inspection and striping of the approaches to the East 80 Bridge, said at 9:31am that the road should be open in 30 minutes to an hour. Early this morning, Wally Burris called to note that the detour signs in Columbia were coming down, and ColumbiaMagazine.com learned, courtesy of the alert news team at the Adair Progress, that the schedule had been dramatically moved up.
