Blueberry Festival draws large crowd

METCALFE COUNTY'S SHADY COURTHOUSE LAWN was filed with booths and festival goers at the 7th Annual Kentucky Blueberry Festival on Saturday, June 21, 2008. Metcalfe County is a leading Kentucky Blueberry producer. The festival is now a two day affair, held each year when the berries are ripe. Locally produced blueberries were sold during the event, and are usually available in Metcalfe County's largest supermarket during this season. The quality is excellent this year.
