Farmers Market open this Friday morning 2008-06-20 - Adair Extension Office Parking Lot, Fairgrounds ST, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener. The ADAIR FARMERS MARKET is open this morning from 6:00am until 10amCT, or earlier, if today's produce is sold out. This early in the season there aren't as many vendors nor as many fresh vegetables as there will be later on, but the quality is good and the prices are very reasonable. On hand this morning were vendors: Beth Rutherford, with shrubs, including hydrangea, hibiscus, barberry and blackberry plants, a pin oak tree, butterfly bushes, hosta, and crepe myrtle. Myra Harrison with cabbage, zuchinni, beets, Bibb lettuce, spinach, green onions, raspberries, squash, and pepper. Holly Sinclair with squash, onions, peas, green beans, potatoes, and pepper. Samantha Sinclair with green onions, new potatoes, and squash. And Margie Rooks with cucumbers, beets, onions, squash, rhubarb, and peppers. The market is open each Tuesday and Friday during the season, and is limited to Adair County grown products.
