Breakthrough: Last cuts nearly complete CWB

2008-06-10 - Near Adair County Elementary School, Colulmbia Western Bypass - Photo By Ed Waggener.
CONSTRUCTION of the COLUMBIA WESTERN BYPASS continues at amazing speed. The photo above is taken from just east of Adair County Elementary School. Just beyond the equipment in the middle of the road is the Pelham Branch Road crossing. Only a relatively small pile of rock rubble remains across PBR near Murray Lane (right) and Murray Lane Trace (left). The dome of the silo on the Bill Henson Farm, which fronts on Campbellsville Rod, is visible on the left. Paving of the eternally awaited bypass has started on the south side, and is virtually complete from KY 55 South to KY 61.
