Changing Downtown Columbia, KY: 303 Burkesville ST

The OLD HOUSE at 303 Burkesville, remembered as the Dr. Cornish Chiropractic clinic, starting coming down at 8:30am this morning, Monday, June 2, 2008, when James Garrison of Garrison Construction Co. began demolition. Above, another scoop is headed for the first of the waiting Taylor Services containers at the site. The building and lot are owned by Dr. Max and Patricia Downey, whose clinic is next door. A P&Z hearing is set for 6:00pmCT, June 12, 2007, to consider a zoning change from R-4 High Density to C-1 Central Business District Commercial.
