2008-05-20 - Blue Raider Drive - Photo By Ed Waggener.
WHEN THE BULK WATER TANKS start arriving at the "Water Salesman," the Columbia Utlities Commission's automated bulk water tap on Blue Raider Drive next to the soccer field, you know it is a sure sign crop season is hear. The coin operated device delivers approximately 200 gallons for 50 cents. Above,Dwayne Campbell, on truck, keeps the hose in place on the 1,500 gallon tank while Chris Rooks feeds the coins. They will use the water for tobacco plant bed irrigation. Others use the facility for filling swimming pools.
