ACHS Marching Band seniors at Macy's 2009 Parade program

2008-05-02 - Adair County Middle School - Photo By Ed Waggener.
The happiest kid in America last night was Adair County Marching Band Director Tim Allen, who had told the crowd that even with the enormous pride in having two National Championships, the opportunity to be in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is "the dream of a lifetime." Above, he appears with some fabulous performers who made it happen but will not be part of the band when NBC cameras are beaming the name of the "Adair County Marching Band of Columbia, Kentucky" nationwide, are the graduating seniors, but who with the grace and poise symbolic of the truly great, were elated beyond description. From left, Wes Walker, Vicki Leibeck, Torie Rooks, Lyle Miller, Caleb Irvin, Bonnie Cheng, Lucy Conover, Kali Mouser, Band Director Tim Allen, Assistant Director Matt Emerson, Dustin Warren, and Matthew Shirley.
