Good building weather helping at Super Wal Mart

2008-04-21 - Holladay Place, KY 61, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
"YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE CORE of "NEW COLUMBIA," as Holladay Place developers are fond of calling the mammoth new shopping center. The anchor store, the 156,000 s.f. Super Wal-Mart store is scheduled to be turned over to Wal-Mart around the third week of September, just five months away from the day this picture was taken. The building is already under roof, and skilled construction crews are working on almost every aspect of the building. A 22,000 strip center should be started soon, and a 156 seat restaurant is expected to be open before Wal-Mart is complete. In the foreground, Ken Adams is operating a big trackhoe for Pyles Excavating Co. whose headquarters building is already operational on the north side of the development.
