Mesonet weather station completion expected end of Apr., 2008

2008-03-24 - Green River Commerce Park - Photo By Greg Thomas.
THE MESONET WEATHER MONITORING STATON at Green River Commerce Park is well underway, and should be complete by the end of April 2008. Greg Thomas, Adair County Emergency Management Director, who is also heads the Adair County Search and Rescue Team, visited the site Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, and filed this report: "As you can see all concrete bases for equipment have been poured and the the base of the tower has been set. Looking at the picture, on the left of the tower, you will see a round concrete base. This is where the single alert shield and precipition gauge will be. On the right of the tower base you will see a rod mounted in concrete and this is where the solar panel and battery enclosure will be housed. The next step is getting the fencing put in place around the diameter of the site. It looks like this site should complete by the end of April."
