THIS PHOTO IS A FAVORITE of Larry Smith, news anchor at Columbia's WHVE FM 92.7, the WAVE. It was taken over a decade ago when he was a KCountry with Tommy Kerr. The scene above is the Campbellsville 4th of July celebration in 1991. Smith writes, "I owe a lot in my broadcast career to some greats of radio who were willing to share, to mentor me. Cawood Ledford, Terry Meiners, and Alan Reed, and, of course, the man on the left with me in this photo, Tommy Kerr. He had an unmistakable, appearance as recognizable as his unique radio voice."
