Scenic Adair Co., KY: Harm Shelton Road

2008-02-14 - Hamp Shelton Road, southeast of Chance, KY in Adair County District 3 - Photo By Ed Waggener.

HILL CEMETERY on HARM SHELTON ROAD off Chance Road between Chance, KY, and Scenic KY Hwy 704 at Inroad. Harm Shelton Road is located in Adair County District 4, Sammy Baker, Magistrate. The mauseleum is one of the only (maybe the only) in Adair County. The tree standing sentry over the cemetery is a sugar maple, woodsman Billy Joe Fudge tells us. A number of prominent Lewis family members are buried here.
